Asya Alpay

Biography

Asya Alpay is a young artist from Istanbul, Turkey. Her work has previously been featured in various galleries and international art fairs in Istanbul, Bodrum, London, Toronto, and New York. In January, her works will be displayed at the ART3F Paris fair, and in August 2024, her works will be displayed at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona. Originally graduated from the Bogazici University Western Languages and Literatures department, she sees her art as a reflection of bipolar disorder, which she was diagnosed with in 2016. Instead of conventional drawing, she paints abstracts where she plays with colors and materials, including recycled materials. She is a firm believer in uncertainty and personal experience in art.
