King Rusto

Biography

Alessandro Andreuccetti, known across the graffiti world as King Rusto, is an Italian artist who has been painting trains since the early 1990s. Raised in Viareggio and now based in Milan, he built his international reputation by bringing classic New York style to Italian transit, earning the title of “King”, an honour that graffiti culture never gives, only recognises.

His name is an anagram of Rust-Oleum, the spray paint brand that started his creative journey.

The Art

King Rusto’s work spans a wide palette. He is known for unexpected, vibrant tones such as pistachio green, yet he returns most often to stark black and white for their contrast and graphic strength.

His practice has recently moved from walls and train carriages towards tactile objects and sculpture, a phase he calls “post-graffitism”. He is now developing three-dimensional canvases with raised, sculptural lettering, lifting his classic letterforms off the flat surface and into physical space.

The Collection

A limited edition, made to order. Releasing 22 October 2026.

Splendore Unique’s collaboration with King Rusto brings Timeless, the artwork also known as LETTEKING, to the dial of the PRX Powermatic 80. Originally painted across a multi-metre wall in Pisa, the piece is precision printed onto the dial in miniature, keeping the bold colour and the stark outlines around every letter that define his lettering. It is available as a dial for the watch you already own, or as a complete watch.
