The Flitter Away Time DateJust 41 Dial is a Splendore Unique art dial created with Kuwaiti calligraphy artist Areej Alsalem for the DateJust 41.
Areej has composed a single line of calligraphy that reads in two directions: “Flitter away time” one way, “Time is Gold” the other. Printed in black on a white matte surface, the design relies on restraint, letting the script carry the whole idea. Areej is one of Kuwait’s first female calligraphers to win an award for calligraphy, and this is a 1-of-1 art dial, so no other DateJust 41 will carry it. For the collector who sees time as something to read in more than one way, it is a rare chance to own an original.
