Iconic Design Meets Ultra-Thin Elegance

The 41.5 mm case is crafted from solid 18K 5N pink gold, with the collection’s signature six-sided bezel inspired by the Maltese cross. Despite housing a perpetual calendar, the watch measures just 8.1 mm in thickness, so it slips easily beneath a tailored cuff while keeping a commanding presence. A sapphire crystal caseback shows the movement from the reverse.

The Skeleton Dial

In place of a conventional dial, Vacheron Constantin uses sapphire, framed by a silver-toned, velvet-finished minute track. The day, date, and month with leap year counters are rendered as silver-toned rings rather than solid discs, so the openworked movement stays visible through and around them. The moon phase at 6 o’clock shows 18K gold moons against a starry sky, and the 18K gold hands and hour markers are highlighted with blue Super-LumiNova for legibility. Even the calendar wheels are skeletonised, so mechanism and display read as a single composition.

The Calibre 1120/3 QPSQN/1

At the heart of the watch is the self-winding calibre 1120/3 QPSQN/1, a fully skeletonised ultra-thin movement bearing the Hallmark of Geneva (Poinçon de Genève). It measures just 4.05 mm in height, with 276 components and 36 jewels, beats at 2.75 Hz (19,800 vph) and offers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The perpetual calendar accounts for leap years through a 48-month counter, and the 22K gold oscillating weight is openworked in the shape of a Maltese cross.

Ultimate Versatility: The Interchangeable System

Like every modern Overseas, this watch uses Vacheron Constantin’s interchangeable system, allowing the 18K pink gold bracelet with half-Maltese cross links to be exchanged for a strap in seconds, without tools. It is shown here on the gold bracelet and on blue leather and blue rubber straps.
